Scout Hollow is deeply inspired by my childhood, growing up in the Catskill Mountains of Upstate, New York. I spent most of my hours outdoors, exploring and playing in the abundant nature that surrounded me---listening to the sounds, swimming in the creeks, picking berries in the woods, and losing myself in my imagination. There was a certain slowness to the everyday that I haven't been able to replicate. In my teenage years, I couldn't wait to leave that little town. Now, in my thirties, I often long to go back to the slowness and simplicity of life on the mountain.

When I decided to open Scout Hollow, I wanted the space to feel like a long mountain summer when I was a child---like the quiet place I want to return to as an adult. The perfectly-ripened-raspberry, water-from-the-hose, slam-of-the-screen-door kind of feeling. Here, you'll find quality handmade and vintage goods for your home that are both useful and beautiful, with inspiration drawn from those long, slow, mountain summers. Each item has been carefully selected to bring to your life function, connection, and beauty.
